Understanding the Community Guidelines for the Circuit Stream Discord Server

Guidelines for a Safe, Respectful, and Productive Learning Environment

Welcome to our learning community!
We aim to create a supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment where students of all ages can learn and grow together. To ensure everyone's safety and success, please adhere to the following guidelines.

Important:

  • We are a learning community of all ages, so it's important that we can identify you. Your Discord nickname must match the name you used to register.

We Want to Know Who You Are

  • We need to be able to identify you. Your nickname must match the name you used to register with us. Non-compliance with this rule will result in restricted permissions or being banned from the server. This helps maintain a safe and professional community for everyone.

Be Respectful to Each Other

  • Show respect to all members - students, instructors, and staff. Harassment, bullying, or aggressive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Circuit Stream has zero tolerance for discrimination, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other form of harmful language or behaviour.
  • Keep conversations relevant to the server's purpose. We want everyone to learn and feel safe doing so. Avoid spam, NSFW content, or promoting unrelated products and services.

Maintain Academic Integrity

  • It is okay to discuss assignments, challenges, and in-class work, but do not ask others to provide full answers or copy someone else's work.
  • Sharing tips and notes is allowed, but sharing complete projects or plagiarizing someone else's work is prohibited and will be addressed accordingly.

No Unrelated Advertising

  • You are welcome to share resources that support learning, as long as they are not for profit and contribute positively to the community.
  • Promotion of unrelated products or services is not allowed.
