[FAQs for Parents](https://help.circuitstream.com/i-am-a-parent?hsLang=en#faqs-for-parents) November 2, 2026 # How do I prepare my child for an on-campus camp To help your child have a smooth start to their Circuit Stream camp, we recommend reviewing the pre-camp information, preparing their device, confirming the campus details, and gathering everything they will need before the first day. **Hardware and technical requirements** Students are required to bring their own laptop and charger, as Circuit Stream does not provide computers or other electronic devices during on-campus camps. Device requirements vary by course: - **Game Design, Game Development, and 3D Animation:** Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, an Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor (or Apple M1 equivalent), at least 8 GB RAM, and 50 GB of available storage. A dedicated graphics card is recommended for Unreal Engine projects. For the best experience, we recommend 16 GB RAM, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or equivalent graphics card, and 100 GB or more of SSD storage. - **Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and AI Robotics:** Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, an Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor (or Apple M1 equivalent), at least 8 GB RAM, and 20 GB of available storage. We recommend 16 GB RAM, 50 GB of available SSD storage, and an Intel Core i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 processor (or Apple M2 equivalent). - **All other courses:** Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, an Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor (or Apple M1 equivalent), at least 8 GB RAM, and 20 GB of available storage. Chromebooks, tablets, and Linux devices may not be supported, depending on the course. Please review the requirements for your child’s specific program before camp begins. **Campus location and schedule** Before the first day, review your pre-camp email and confirm your child’s campus location, daily start and end times, drop-off and pick-up arrangements, and parking information. These details may vary by campus and cohort. **What to bring** Students should bring: - Their laptop and charger - A notebook and writing materials - A reusable water bottle - A packed lunch and snacks, if needed - Any necessary medication - Any additional personal or course-specific supplies they need for the camp **Lunch and dietary needs** Students with a meal plan will be guided to the cafeteria. Students without a meal plan should bring a packed lunch, as food options on campus may be limited. Please provide information about any allergies, dietary needs, medical requirements, or accommodations during registration so our team is aware. **Before the first day** Review the pre-camp information sent by our Student Experience Team, make sure your child’s device meets the course requirements, and have their belongings ready in advance.
