[FAQs for Parents](https://help.circuitstream.com/i-am-a-parent?hsLang=en#faqs-for-parents) November 2, 2026 # How do I prepare my child for an online camp To help your child have a smooth start to their online camp, we recommend preparing their device, confirming their internet connection, and making sure they can access Canvas before the first day. **Hardware and technical requirements** Device requirements vary by course: - **Game Design, Game Development, and 3D Animation:** Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, an Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor (or Apple M1 equivalent), at least 8 GB RAM, and 50 GB of available storage. A dedicated graphics card is recommended for Unreal Engine projects. For the best experience, we recommend 16 GB RAM, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or equivalent graphics card, and 100 GB or more of SSD storage. - **Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and AI Robotics:** Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, an Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor (or Apple M1 equivalent), at least 8 GB RAM, and 20 GB of available storage. We recommend 16 GB RAM, 50 GB of available SSD storage, and an Intel Core i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 processor (or Apple M2 equivalent). - **All other courses:** Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, an Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor (or Apple M1 equivalent), at least 8 GB RAM, and 20 GB of available storage. Students will also need a reliable internet connection and a quiet, comfortable space where they can participate in classes and complete learning activities without interruption. Chromebooks, tablets, and Linux devices may not be supported, depending on the course. Please review the requirements for your child’s specific program before camp begins. **Canvas access** Before camp begins, please make sure your child has activated their Canvas account and can successfully log in. Canvas is Circuit Stream’s learning management system (LMS) and will be used to access course materials and learning activities. Instructions for setting up and accessing Canvas will be shared in your pre-camp email. **Before the first day** We recommend that your child: - Confirms their device meets the course requirements - Tests their internet connection -
